As an appetizer to Tony Shalhoub’s visit, The Ellen Theatre is screening the classic film Big Night on Friday, November 20th at 7:30 PM. In 1950s America, two Italian brothers run a restaurant on the Jersey Shore. One brother, the chef and a perfectionist (Tony Shalhoub), is disgusted at any customer seeking an Americanized version of his delectable, authentic Italian cooking. The younger brother (Stanley Tucci) manages the restaurant and, unlike his older sibling, is infatuated with the opportunities America offers. Despite the brothers’ efforts, their restaurant is failing and they must work together to bring good fortune and success to the dwindling business.
