DESCRIPTION:Biennial Young Artist Competition \nSaturday\, January 11th\, 2025\nReynolds Recital Hall\n9:30AM Opening \nAdmission by Donation \nThe Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras (MASO) is hosting its Biennial Young Artist Competition to support and showcase Montana’s emerging musicians. The competition is open to Montana residents aged 13 through undergraduate school who play an orchestral instrument. To apply\, musicians must submit an application along with a video recording of their intended performance piece. Submissions will be evaluated by MASO screening judges\, and selected musicians will advance to the live final round\, which will be held on January 11\, 2025 at Reynolds Recital Hall. This competition offers young artists a valuable opportunity to perform as soloists with one or more Montana orchestras\, providing a significant professional debut experience. Whether or not they win\, participants gain performance experience\, strive for excellence\, and develop leadership and confidence in their musical abilities.
