Pro Division climbs/skis approx 5\,000 vertical feet and Rec Division approx 2\,000 vertical feet.\n\n\n\n\nWho\n\n\n\n\nRandonnee skiers\n\n\n\nMust be 13 years or older to enter\n\n\n\nAge categories: 13-15\, 16-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60 and up\n\n\n\nLimited to 100 (total) competitors\n\n\n\n\n\nWhere\n\n\n\n\nCircumnavigation of the Ridge terrain\n\n\n\nPro start at the base area\, slope side of Jim Bridger Lodge\n\n\n\nRec start at top of upper terrain park\n\n\n\n\n\nFee\n\n\n\n\nPro Division – $50; $70 with Lift Ticket\n\n\n\nRec Division – $35; $55 with Lift Ticket\n\n\n\nAll entry fees include commemorative item and lunch at finish\n\n\n\n\n\nTicket\n\n\n\n\nValid Season Pass or Lift Ticket required\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, January 24\, 5:30pm; Mandatory competitors meeting via Zoom – NO EXCEPTIONS!\n\n\n\n7:30am Race day check-in/safety inspection on Jim Bridger Lodge cafeteria\n\n\n\n8:30am Race start for all competitors\n\n\n\n2pm Awards in Jim Bridger Lodge\n\n\n\nThe course is subject to change anytime prior to start of race. Significant snowfall Saturday evening or Sunday prior to event start may postpone start time.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEquipment\n\n\n\n\n457kHz avalanche transceiver worn and operating for full duration of race\n\n\n\nSkins for ascending – No snowshoes\, booting is only allowed where specified\, must secure skis/board while negotiating booting sections\n\n\n\nBackpack\n\n\n\nSkis with metal edges – 160cm minimum for men/150cm minimum for women\, OR split board with metal edges – 150cm minimum for men/140cm minimum for women\n\n\n\nSkis and split boards must have adequate retention devices or brakes\n\n\n\nHelmet is mandatory and must be worn and fastened at all times\n\n\n\nWindbreaker or shell with a hood\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\n\nPre-registration required by 1pm Friday\, Jan 26th – sign up ONLINE with a credit card.\n\n\n\nNo same day sign ups\n\n\n\nIf under the age of 18\, signature of a parent or legal guardian is required\n\n\n\nOne release per competitor\n\n\n\n\n\nAwards\n\n\n\n\nAwards 2pm in Jim Bridger Lodge\n\n\n\nCash prize to top three Pro finishers\, Men & Women\n\n\n\nPrizes to top three Rec finishers\, Men & Women\n\n\n\nMedals to top three male & female finishers in each age group\n\n\n\nFantastic door prizes – must participate and be present to win\n\n\n\nEntry into Grand Prize drawing March 15\n\n\n\nBig Sky Skimo Cup: A coordinated statewide points series that promotes the historically awesome skimo races that exist across the state of Montana. Attendance will be taken. Competitors who do not comply with these efforts will be disqualified immediately from the event and asked to leave\, without refund.
