DESCRIPTION:Yellowstone Ballet Company presents a spectacular gala performance. \nThe theme of this one-time event is love. You will be treated to lovely ensemble pieces and famous pas de deux that are rarely seen in the Treasure State. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPrima Ballerina Dances in Valentine Event\nSongs & Dances of Love \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\nSharon Wehner trained with Jody White and David Roxander\, San Jose Dance Theatre\, San Francisco Ballet and San Jose/Cleveland Ballet. She joined Colorado Ballet in 1995 and was promoted to Principal in 1999 In addition to Colorado Ballet\, Wehner has also performed with The Washington Ballet\, Oakland Ballet and Amy Seiwert’s Imagery. She has also been a guest artist at the Vail Dance Festival\, at the Aoyama Ballet Festival in Japan\, and the National Ballet of Japan’s Golden Ballet Co-star. \nColorado Ballet Artistic Director Gil Boggs states “Sharon’s dedication to this art form is evident as she gives everything of herself in rehearsal and on the stage. When Sharon takes on a role\, she has a process of learning\, discovering and putting everything together\, which culminates in a performance that few can accomplish. \n \nWatch Sharon’s flawless performance in the “White Swan Pas de Deux” from Yellowstone Ballet Company’s past production of Swan Lake:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\nMr. Luciano graduated from Royal Teatro di San Carlo Ballet School in Naples\, Italy. That same year\, he joined the Deutsche Opera am Rhein in Dusseldorf\, Germany. After dancing with several companies in Europe including Europadance in France\, Maggio Danza in Florence\, and Teatro Dell’Opera in Rome\, Mr. Luciano joined Tulsa Ballet where he was named “Best Dancer” by the Houston Press. He joined the Colorado Ballet in 2010 and quickly rose to the position of principal dancer. His repertoire includes classical leading roles along with works by notable contemporary choreographers.  His awards include the Best Male Dancer of the Year award in Positano\, Italy in 2003 and the “Young Talent Award” in Florence\, Italy at DANZAINFIERA in 2010. \nAdditional excerpts include pas de deux from: Don Quixote  and Cinderelladanced by Japanese dancers\, Risa Mochizuki and Yuuki Yamamoto\, principals with the New Jersey Ballet; Coppelia and Lost in Love with Maxim Elman and  Talli Elman ( a gold medalist  – Global Dance Challenge 2019) ofVancouver’s Goh Ballet; Sleeping Beauty with Martinsdale Ballerina Anne Valle and former Texas Ballet Theatre dancer Parsifal Pittendorfer\, andDiana & Acteaon danced by 2nd place winners for best pas de deux in the regional Youth America Gran Prix 2020\, Ryan Hong and Lisa Munson of Washington. \nMusic selections include opera songs:  “In Quelle Trine Morbide” from Puccini’s Manon Lescaut and “Un Bel Di” from Puccini’s Madama Butterfly\, sung by Merceds Mcann\, and the musical theatre piece “She Could Have Danced All Night” performed by locals Rachel Olsen and Ian Mascari. \nAnd\, last but not least\, Raison D’etre Dance Project will perform ensemble pieces  from Yann Tiersen Suite and Bach’s Cello Suite No. 2 in D Minor. \nFor more information and tickets: www.yellowstoneballet.info Tickets will also be available at the door for an additional $2 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nPurchase Tickets
