Fall has arrived, and we have a lot to look forward to here at the Children’s Museum of Bozeman!
Have you seen our Fall Programs Calendar for the STEAMlab? Since opening in January, the lab has welcomed over 350 kids aged 8 & up to take part in hands-on programs in electronics, programming, and 3-D printing. We are currently enrolling for PIR Day Camps, Open Lab Hours for teens, Girls Coding Club, and STEAM & Suds for adults who want to learn more about the STEAMlab experience. Find the calendar on our website, register online, and join the hundreds of people who are taking advantage of CMB’s enriching high-tech maker-space.
Next on our calendar is the 2nd annual Spaghetti Supper & Family Trivia Night, which will be held on October 10th from 5-8 pm at the Lindley Center. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children. Look forward to a delicious spaghetti dinner, a fun show by Silly Moose Improv, a trivia contest with prizes, and an ice cream bar! We will begin selling tickets for our Golden Ticket Raffle during the dinner. Hope to see you there!
The Golden Ticket Raffle is back after great success in previous years. We only sell one hundred tickets, so be sure to get yours early. Each ticket is just $100, and there will be ten tickets drawn to win one of ten sought-after prizes. The first winner will get to pick from all ten prizes, the second winner from the nine remaining prizes, and so on. Expect vouchers for romantic getaways, family adventures, fine dining, and more! We will hold the drawing and announce the winners during December 11th’s Free Friday Night here at the museum between 5-8 pm. Don’t miss out!
We are excited to introduce a new exhibit arriving at the end of this month – Nano! Nano is an interactive exhibition that engages family audiences in nanoscale science, engineering, and technology. Hands-on exhibits present the basics of nanoscience and engineering, introduce some real world applications, and explore the societal and ethical implications of this new technology. Build a giant carbon nano-tube, experiment with static electricity & gravity, and explore magnetic materials like magnetite sand and iron powder.
With so much happening here at The Children’s Museum – Spaghetti Dinners, Raffles, Free Friday Nights, new exhibits, and all the exciting programs in the STEAMlab – we are truly reaching out to a larger group of people than ever before. It’s a great time to support CMB, and we hope to see you at the museum soon!
