The Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club, and Gallatin Wildlife Association are excited to present the 2016 Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Wedneday, January 20th at the Emerson Cultural Center beginning at 6pm. Doors open at 5pm. Information tables and representatives of the local conservation groups will be present to discuss the issues. There will be coffee, beer, and snacks. The event is free, so please come and feel free to invite all those who are interested. There will also be some great raffle prizes from local businesses!
Films to be screened include: Earthbook, Spine of the Continent, The Ridge, Our Power–Black Mesa, AZ, Mixing Oil and Water, I Heard, Pride, Sufferfest 2, and Spaceship Earth Passenger Safety Briefing. The South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL, pronounced ‘circle’) started the Wild & Scenic Film Festival in January 2003 to promote community building within the Yuba Watershed as well as a way to explore environmental issues through an exciting and influential medium.
