These classes also make for great Christmas gifts and gift certificates are available! Here’s a look at some of the classes to be offered. Intermediate Tango I meets Thursdays from 7-8pm starting January 7th for six weeks. An organic approach to this fascinating dance, a moving embrace. Patiently taught with an organized progression of movements. If you can walk you can tango! This course is a continuation of last session. Tuition is $58 in advance.
Continuing Tango meets Thursdays from 8-9pm starting January 7th for six weeks. Continue to enjoy and improve upon your tango! This session we will further explore musical ideas, improve technique and help you learn fun combinations. Warm up for the workshop with Tomás Howlin in January! Tuition is $58 in advance. Basic Ballroom meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7pm starting January 11th for a three week program. Especially for beginners, this is the best place to start! Learn the fundamentals of Foxtrot and Swing, how to lead and follow, how to listen for the beat, get around the dance floor and other dance basics. Tuition is $58 in advance.
A Basic Ballroom Extension course is also offered. Foxtrot and Swing for those who have already taken Basic Ballroom. Gain confidence, learn more! Review basics! Mondays only during the same three week program. Tuition is $25 in advance. Quickstep meets Mondays from 7-8pm starting January 11th for six weeks. An advanced ballroom dance, related to the Foxtrot and the Peabody, the Quickstep will get you flying around the dance floor at a fast speed. Accurate footwork and a good dance frame make it work. Advanced ballroom technique and previous knowledge of Quickstep basics are prerequisites for this course. Not for beginner or intermediate dancers. Tuition is $58 in advance. Advanced Nightclub meets Mondays from 8-9pm starting January 11th for six weeks. Add new patterns and skills to increase your enjoyment of this dance! Tuition is $58 in advance.
Basic Swing meets Tuesdays from 6-7pm starting January 12th for six weeks. This is a versatile dance with many turns while the feet keep the basic rhythm. Can be danced to a wide variety of music and is sometimes referred to as Jitterbug. Tuition is $58 in advance. Basic Country Two Step meets Tuesdays from 7-8pm starting January 12th for six weeks. This is an easy-going dance based on walking steps traveling around the dance floor with lots of fun turns. A Montana favorite, like a smooth swing dance which moves around the floor. Tuition is $58 in advance. Lindy Hop meets Tuesdays from 8-9pm starting January 12th for six weeks. Lindy Hop is the original form of the swing. Fun and silly! A combination of 8 count patterns and triple rhythm swing moves. Knowledge of basic swing is a plus. Tuition is $58 in advance.
Intermediate Ballroom meets Wednesdays from 7-8pm starting January 13th for six weeks. Twinkles and pivot turns! For those who have already taken the basics in Foxtrot and Waltz and would like to learn more about ballroom dancing and move to another level. This is the next class in the Ballroom series. Tuition is $58 in advance. Cha Cha Cha meets Wednesdays from 8-9pm starting January 13th for six weeks. The Cha Cha rhythm is found in many styles of popular music. It’s a fun and versatile dance you can use to Latin music plus so much more! Even cowboys dance the Cha Cha Cha! Basics plus more. Tuition is $58 in advance.
Since 1993, hundreds of students have taken dance classes from Have Fun Dancing in Bozeman. The company started at a small space in the Emerson Cultural Center but have since grown to a beautiful facility on Bryant Street, a colorful and happy setting with a floating sprung hardwood floor.
