Benefit for Ric Steinke announced
Livingston, MT) A benefit for beloved local musician Ric Steinke is being held at the Livingston Elks Lodge on Friday, October 16,, 2016 at 5 PM. $10 admission gets you a taco bar dinner courtesy Crazy Mountain Catering, live music, cash bar, live and silent auction items and surprises!
On Aug 2, 2015, Ric Steinke of the Open Range band had an accident at home with a table saw. It resulted in him losing his fourth (pinky) finger on his left hand, a slashed and fractured index finger, and the other fingers and thumb all cut/slashed and needing stitches. He has since had the stitches removed and is in the process of recovery. Feeling and movement is somewhat restricted in the remaining fingers of his left hand, requiring weekly visits with a hand therapist and routine hand/finger exercises at home.
Ric has spent most of his life as a working musician. Unfortunately, this accident has resulted in a financial burden for both Ric & Linda, with having to cancel most of their remaining summer and fall music jobs that had already been set up for Open Range.
With enough therapy and care, he’s hoping to be back working at his music by December. This benefit is to help cover excess medical expenses and loss of wages due to this unfortunate accident.
